We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and help build a scalable platform for our client — a US-based company that empowers neuroscience researchers to manage and analyze massive volumes of scientific data. 

Their platform supports labs working on reverse engineering the brain by delivering speed, integrity, and scalability for research data pipelines. It combines intuitive tools for data processing and collaboration with full transparency and flexibility — no black boxes here. 

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll work alongside talented engineers, data scientists, and neuroscientists to design, operate, and scale infrastructure for a modern SaaS platform focused on data science. 

What you’ll do: 

• Build and scale infrastructure for a cloud-native SaaS platform 
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to shape DevOps strategy 
• Design solutions for distributed data analysis using Kubernetes and other orchestration tools 
• Deploy production-grade systems that serve researchers directly 
• Improve observability, performance, and cost-efficiency of infrastructure 
• Maintain high standards in security, automation, and reproducibility across both cloud and on-prem setups 
• Contribute to internal and open-source infrastructure tooling 
• Support researchers by enabling fast and reproducible data workflows 

What we’re looking for: 

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering 
• Strong background in Python and Linux systems 
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) 
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting (Bash/Zsh) 
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) 
• Familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL 
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, etc.) 
• Infrastructure-as-Code expertise (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.) 
• Observability tooling know-how (ELK, Datadog, Prometheus, etc.) 
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher — you’ll be working directly with the client team 

Nice to have: 

• Experience with backend frameworks (Flask, Node.js) 
• Contributions to open source projects 
• Experience with microservice architecture and system scaling 
• Knowledge of authentication protocols (OIDC, SAML) and reverse proxies (NGINX, Traefik) 
• Familiarity with test automation tools (K6, Selenium, Pytest) 
• Experience deploying solutions in both cloud and on-prem environments 
• Exposure to HPC tools like Slurm or system-level languages (Go, Rust, C++)
