We are partnering with a nature data and intelligence company on a mission to drive large-scale nature recovery. Their platform combines data, science, and technology to help enterprises value and restore nature, creating measurable environmental and economic impact. The team is now expanding both their customer-facing and internal platforms, and they are forming the core engineering team to build the foundation of backend and data systems for a full-time, long-term collaboration. 

What you’ll do 

• Design, build, and extend backend systems using Supabase, including database, authentication, and edge function capabilities. 
• Develop and maintain TypeScript-based APIs and integrations that support the platform’s data services and internal tooling. 
• Collaborate with frontend developers to deliver end-to-end features and performant user-facing experiences. 
• Contribute to the evolution of internal automation tools and data pipeline implementations. 
• Work closely with product, data, and AI teams on new integrations—from analytics and forecasting to blockchain-enabled features. 
• Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability while maintaining lightweight, maintainable systems. 

What we’re looking for 

• 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack or backend development. 
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript. 
• Practical experience with Supabase. 
• Solid understanding of API design, database schema design, and serverless architecture patterns. 
• Ability to work across the stack — backend logic, data modeling, and key frontend integrations. 
• Experience working independently in agile, distributed teams. 

Nice to have 

• Familiarity with AI or ML integrations at the application level. 
• Knowledge of blockchain, digital asset verification, or sustainability-related data systems. 
• Experience with data visualization, analytics tools, or geospatial data.
