The fall of 2025 marked a milestone season for Honeycomb Software — a two-month business trip across the United States that brought together digital transformation, engineering advancements, and meaningful human connection.
From the very heart of the energy industry, Houston, to the dynamic startup hub, Austin, our team joined the most influential conversations on the future of energy and AI, hosted our own community events, and celebrated a decade of growth with our partners and friends.
It was a journey defined by open dialogue, shared learning, and a clear mission: to make AI adoption practical, responsible, and real. Here are the main highlights from the season.
Houston: Where digital transformation meets energy
Our trip began in Houston, the capital of energy, where Honeycomb Software exhibited at the 11th Annual Digitalization in Oil & Gas Conference hosted by the Energy Conference Network.
Representing our team were Oleg Lysiak, VP of Partnerships & Business Development, and Ihor Pavlenko, Head of Delivery — both immersed in two days of technical sessions, leadership discussions, and live exchanges with top decision-makers from global energy organizations.

The conference set the tone for the season: an honest, data-driven conversation about the next decade of Oil & Gas transformation.
Sessions explored everything from AI and IoT integration to workforce readiness, cybersecurity, and autonomous operations. Among the most memorable quotes came from Ryan Sitton of Pinnacle Reliability, who urged leaders to move “from combat to collaboration,” designing ecosystems where humans and machines empower one another.
As Oleg noted after the event, “Digitalization isn’t just about technology — it’s about alignment. When data, teams, and strategy come together, that’s when transformation becomes sustainable.”
The Honeycomb booth became a hub for these conversations. Attendees shared their challenges, from siloed data systems to the complexity of scaling pilots across sites. Our team demonstrated how AI-powered data engineering, predictive analytics, and workflow automation can help achieve cleaner, safer, and more efficient operations.
We were also proud to connect with long-standing partners, meet new collaborators, and celebrate the community spirit that makes the energy sector so forward-looking, even down to a fun moment, where one lucky visitor took home a handcrafted Clase Azul tequila decanter as a souvenir from our team.

Lunch & Learn: Turning AI adoption into action
A few days later, we hosted Lunch & Learn in Houston. The event gathered leaders from energy, Oil & Gas, healthcare, and technology to discuss the real story of AI transformation.
Led by Oleg Lysiak and Ihor Pavlenko, the session walked attendees through Honeycomb Software’s own adoption path: the skepticism, the cultural shifts, and the practical steps that turned challenges into progress.

Leaders from multiple industries joined Honeycomb Software’s Lunch & Learn in Houston to explore the realities of AI transformation.
Through interactive discussion, our team shared how structured training, transparent communication, and careful tool evaluation helped make AI a trusted partner, not an experiment.
It was also the first public introduction of Beezi.ai, Honeycomb’s in-house-built AI teammate for engineering teams. Originally designed to improve our own development workflow, Beezi now empowers others to accelerate delivery, reduce costs, and maintain code quality without disrupting existing processes.
As feedback showed, the message resonated: the real success of AI lies in mindset and methodology, not just technology.
CTO Talks in Houston: When leaders talk, industries evolve
Later that month, Houston once again became the meeting ground — this time for CTO Talks: Houston, our signature evening of peer-to-peer discussions among CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and senior tech leaders from energy, Oil & Gas, and climateTech sectors.
This edition focused on the theme of AI in engineering teams, exploring what it truly takes to scale innovation in complex, regulated environments.

Leaders from the engineering and energy sectors gathered for an open conversation during CTO Talks Houston.
What stood out was the candor. Participants openly discussed the tension between rapid progress and governance, the cultural barriers to adoption, and the importance of cross-industry learning.
The atmosphere was both relaxed and intellectually charged, blending networking, dinner, and meaningful dialogue. Moderated by Oleg and Ihor, the session underscored why CTO Talks keeps growing: because real change happens when leaders share lessons, not just results.

Celebrating ten years
Amid all the conferences and discussions, Honeycomb Software took a moment to pause and celebrate a decade of innovation!
At Cup of Joey, a beloved Houston community event for startups and tech professionals, we sponsored a special anniversary edition dedicated to ten years of Honeycomb Software.

To mark the occasion, we invited our clients, partners, and friends to join us for an evening that honored the people behind our growth. It became a moment to acknowledge the trust, collaboration, and long-standing relationships that helped transform Honeycomb Software from a small engineering team into a global technology partner.

Clients, partners, and friends joined Honeycomb Software for an evening celebrating its 10th anniversary.
It was more than a celebration — it was a reflection on how far we’ve come. From our early days as a small development studio to becoming a trusted engineering partner for startups, enterprises, and innovators worldwide, the journey has always been fueled by collaboration and curiosity. Together, we shared stories that shaped the company’s evolution.
Future AI Houston: Advancing intelligent engineering
Honeycomb Software also joined Future AI 2025, where Oleg Lysiak met with industry experts exploring how AI can strengthen large-scale engineering and operational decision-making. The discussions highlighted a clear trend: companies are now prioritizing practical, domain-specific AI that delivers measurable improvements in complex industrial environments.

Austin Startup Week: The future of AI and collaboration
The trip concluded in Austin, where Honeycomb Software joined Austin Startup Week and participated in the Startup Crawl, one of the city’s most dynamic networking events for entrepreneurs and innovators, and where we also presented Beezi.
Representing the company were Alex Melnychuk, CTO, and Oleg Lysiak, VP of Partnerships, both eager to exchange ideas about AI in engineering and its practical impact on product development.

The conversations at the Crawl echoed everything we’d seen throughout the trip: genuine curiosity about AI’s real-world application, and a shared desire to make technology more efficient, consistent, and scalable
Looking ahead
From the Digitalization in Oil & Gas Conference to Austin Startup Week, this U.S. trip reinforced what we’ve always believed: transformation starts with conversation.
Across every city and every event, one message stood out — AI adoption is no longer a question of “if,” but “how.” And the answer lies in collaboration, trust, and learning from one another.
As we look ahead, Honeycomb Software remains committed to helping organizations turn AI into a practical tool for growth, sustainability, and engineering excellence.
After two months of travel, discussions, and inspiration, one thing is clear: the future isn’t coming — it’s already being built, one partnership at a time.
